Slimming Swimsuits

You cannot have a pre-child figure however hard you try, oh!, unless you are Angelina Jolie or Megan Fox or Kourtney Kardashian, well you catch my drift. Most of us labor with diets, trying to stick to a regular exercise schedule, gyms, personal trainers, if we have time, or just learn to live life with that extra belly fat. And learn to shop the jeans that tuck you in, tops that make you look thin and for those holiday parties, shop for the perfect body sock.

However one place where your body is completely exposed and you cannot do much to hide your belly fat is the beach. The swimsuit reveals your true figure, you might have graduated from bikini to one-piece but it is impossible to hide that little pooch. The good news- there are some companies that produce swimsuits specially designed for a very slimming look.

With my skepticism, (  I tried 10 different pairs of jeans before i decided that Style&Co with the tummy smooothing panel is my best bet, budget wise too), i did not believe that you could hide much under a one piece swimsuit. But when Aqua Swimsuit approached me to give it a try, i said yes.

I tried first the Miraclesuit Brand that promises ’10 pounds lighter in 10 minutes’-  I tried Miraclesuit Rialto, I was surprised, this swimsuit did help me to look a bit, well, flat bellied, not six packs mind you, but a little flat. And since i am busty, the swimsuit fit me pretty well across the upper torso too. The only problem i had, was that this swimsuit felt a little tight. I was explained that due to special Miratex fibre that is supposed to hold you in- this swimsuit will feel like that initially but then your body will adjust to it.

Then i was told to try another swimsuit from the same sister company Magicsuit- Magicsuit Brianna prism Swimdress. Now this was a swimsuit that i wowed about. When you wear it, it looks like a mini dress, here something like this:

As you can see that it hugs your bosom, falls just below your hips and looks cute. But this not what i am wowing about, i like the style, it is split on one side and you can tie it up like this. Now this not only looks cute, flirty but allows me to splash in the water with kids, and makes my butt look small.

Aqua Swimsuits have these cute Magicsuit Briannas in many colors and prints and they are adding more for the upcoming beach season.

See for yourself and decide which one you like the best.

Aqua Swimsuits carries a small but hand picked selection of swimsuits which are designed to flatter any body. All theses swimsuits are the latest 2013 designs.

The miraclesuit Happy Place and Lisa Jane are timeless favorites. With special side ruching to slenderize your midriff with a modest leg, high back and square neck. This particular brand runs a little high in costs but this is a must have for your swim wardrobe. The colors and hues lasts for years and years, the Miraclesuit retains its shape and texture even with constant washing and use.

Swimming for kids:

February 4th, 2013 | Posted by Rosa D in Uncategorized - (0 Comments)

Hi,

I am a mother of two girls and a strong believer of teaching kids how to swim. I was invited to write a guest post for Aqua Swimsuits on swimming for kids. So here is my input-

I have a 11 year old and a 7 year old daughter. My 11 year old, Kate, had trouble (due to some childhood problems) doing team sports or even lone sports such as tennis (due to an inherited weak wrist) or running. She even took a lot more time then the average kid in learning how to ride a bike.

Finally, wanting her to do some sport, i enrolled her in Karate, which, Thank God, she has been doing for the last 5 years now. When she was 6 or 7 years old, she wanted to do competitive sports like her friends Laila and Zach. Fearing for Kate’s health and being extra worried, I did not want her to go for Karate tournaments (too violent).

Then what?

We tried more individual sports like skating, skiing, even something like chess (even i don’t know how to play it). Nothing worked. Finally Kate expressed an interest in swimming. I swim myself but never took Kate. I live in NJ and 6 months the weather is not exactly outdoorsy. For indoor pools, i feared the allergies and germs, as Kate used to get very sick as a child.

But seeing that Kate was losing confidence and after consulting with her pedia, i took her to a YMCA pool where i tried to teach her basics of swimming. Well the first lesson was a disaster, she spent the entire time playing around. After a couple of such sessions, i enrolled her in group swimming lessons. After 6 months and hundreds of dollars spent, Kate still had not learnt how to swim. Though on the positive side, she had outgrown her childhood allergies.

I had nearly given up but then someone gave me the idea of private lessons. $35 for half an hour? Really! but then i thought my child deserves the best in the world, so i gave it one more shot and enrolled, now, my 8 year old in private lessons for 8 sessions. Almost immediately she began to show an improvement. and after the end of 8 sessions and hundreds of dollars spent, my daughter, Kate could do freestyle laps across the pool. Me and my husband recorded our proud moment on the video camera.

Now our daughter does an hour long session in the pool every week and is extremely strong, tall and very fit. She even joined the swim team for a year and I shared Kate’s joy, when she received a medal for her efforts. Though she later quit as she thought the swim team was too much pressure. But we achieved what we set out to do.

I enrolled my 7 yeard old, Jasmine, in group swim lessons and she can do half lapses now. It took her almost a year to learn this much but now we have learned patience and are awaiting the day when boths sister will do full lapse together.

My suggestion to all moms- give swimming a try, do not give up, try different methods of swimming.

During her swimming days we bought Kate’s swimsuits from Aqua Swimsuits. Here are the swimsuits she liked best:

Speedo girls swimsuit

This  Speedo girls swimsuit is the closest one to the one Kate wore when she first started taking swimming lessons. Extremely durable, non color losing, this swimsuit lasted her for about a year with regular weekly lessons. I always prefer Speedo swimsuits for my kids- cheap, stylish, durable.

With this Kate wore, Speedo’s skoogle goggles. Though for a swim cap we did not like Speedo swim caps, we preferred Mayim bathing caps, much cheaper and better fitting. Speedo girls goggles

Body flattering swimsuits usually are expensive. You get an excellent fit, truly stylish, luxurious colors, but at a price.

But sometimes you can get a good deal. This is what our new plus size Simple Sole Peacock Tankini and swim bottom are all about. Giving you a break from Black swimsuits- Simple Sole Peacock Tankini is an excellent fit. All over tiers flatter your upper body while the swim bottom in the same print give you full coverage.

Why is Simple Sole Peacock Tankini and co-ordinating bottom a good deal?

Plus Size swim tankini

The best maternity swimsuits for 2013:

Maternity SwimsuitsWhy is the Prego maternity swimdress one of the best maternity swimsuits? This is most comfortable, with non itchy material ( ask any pregnant women, itchy fabric is a big no, no), very soft cups ( finally!), full coverage for the entire nine months (you do not want to shop around for more maternity stuff in the ninth month, shop for the new baby). And this looks cute, with the halter tie back. The dress is sold with a bottom, included in the price, that covers your mid-riff completely.

And oh! the best part- this maternity swimdress is priced to suit any budget. Retails at $72, and we are selling it for $58.00 for the top & bottom.

You can swim in the pool with this, do daily lapses, lie on the beach or wear it on the boardwalk.

The new look for the swimming season is in, starting with the cruises in January!

It is always impressive to see all the ladies on the cruise coming to the pool with the new styles. If last year’s bathing suit is still in good shape, you can always save it for the backyard pool but when you spend a load on that cruise, you want to look up to date. If you are a bit more mature and you want some coverage but still be stylish, a modest looking slimming bathing suit from Miraclesuit or Magicsuit will do the trick.

Even though these are the newest and latest styles, you can still get them at a discounted price. These bathing suits are well worth the price. They look great and they will look great the entire season.

There’s a reason that women get really uptight close to swimsuit season. It’s because deep down we’re all a little self conscious. With the current cultural ideal of women, it’s no wonder even the most attractive of women can feel a little hesitant to put on a swim suit.

Don’t let insecurities put a damper on your time at the pool or beach this year. Modest swimwear can be enormously sexy. One piece swim suits are becoming all the rage and they are making them more and more stylishly attractive!

A Miraclesuit is the answer to a lot of bashful sunbathers. This great swimsuit is made from a particular type of spandex that can cinch you in and make you five pounds lighter in mere seconds. Not only is this great to boost your confidence but it’s also amazingly stylish as well!

There’s nothing like a great confidence booster when you’re out at the pool. It’s nice to be able to smile freely, wear your sunglasses, ask cute boys to rub suntan lotion on your back, and mercilessly flirt with the lifeguards. That’s what summer is all about isn’t it? It’s about feeling good in your own skin, taking time to relax, and appreciating everything summer has to offer, especially at the pool.

It’s important for a swimmer to keep in shape for those big swim meets. Though at a young age a special racing suit is not required some meets allow them. Until you feel you are ready for this big jump into professional swimsuits you can just buy yourself a modest swimsuit.

It’s not hard to find modest swimwear that follows the rules of a competitive swim meet. Your suit cannot have rubber bumps anywhere on the suit. This was a recent ban in many swim competitions in the younger age brackets. You also cannot have a suit that goes below your knees.

The biggest thing to look for in a racing suit is that it maximizes your speed in the water and improves glide time. Compression is also key in the fit of the swimsuit. You might want to look at something like the miracle suit that’s made of a special kind of spandex material. To get a good fit get one with good structure and lining. It will feel snug but this is a good thing.

You might also want to consider buying a swimsuit that is only for races and one that is only for practice. This way you won’t wear out the compression in your race suit during practice!

Although winter hardly seems to be the appropriate season to go shopping for modest swimwear, it may in fact be the perfect time to buy great bathing suits from Miraclesuit, Magicsuit, and other bathing suit companies. modest swimwear

You may generally find bathing suits for cheaper prices than you may in the warmer months. This enables you to save money and buy more bathing suits, which thus offers you more swimwear options.

Buying bathing suits in the winter may also be a great way for you to stay in shape and not soothe the winter blues through snacking. Getting your summer shopping early may even put you in the mood for a tropical vacation!

And, If you are a competitive swimmer, you swim throughout the year and need bathing suits for every season. Sturdy, modest swimwear will enable you to move easily and efficiently through the water without having to worry that you will expose yourself mid swim stroke.  Modest swimwear affords you the opportunity to focus on your swimming and the competition rather than on your attire. Modest swimwear is wonderful when you are a competitive swimmer, since it allows you to concentrate on the task at hand.
